College: Played four games as a freshman before being hardshipped for the '84-'85 season...averaged 2 points and 1.3 rebounds per game...physically a strong leaper who crashes boards aggressively...has good size for guard position….good one-on-one skills.
High School, Personal: Prep team won the state title three years in a row, with Prophete averaging 23.0 points and 18.4 rebounds per game as a senior... named most valuable player at the New Jersey state high school tournament last March...earned first team all-state honors after finishing her career at Clifford Scott…National Honor Society member...prep squad finished 25-2 in 1984...majoring in pre-medicine, Prophete is the daughter of Domonia Prophete and was born 7/27/66.
Rutherford on Prophete: "Sandie was redshirted last year due to a groin injury. We will see her at the point position this year as she is a very strong, aggressive player and can run the ball. She has excellent moves to the basket and can shoot the ball. I'm looking forward to seeing her in action this year."
