Beverly served two seasons as an assistant coach with Missouri from 2023-25 after joining coach Pingeton’s staff in May of 2023.
In the 2024-25 season, Beverly played a pivotal role in the growth of Grace Slaughter, who led the Tigers with 15.0 points per game and was named SEC Scholar Athlete of the Year. Slaughter also improved her three-point shooting, hitting 45.9 percent from beyond the arc, a 8.8 percent increase from her freshman to sophomore year under Beverly’s guidance.
Beverly was a key factor in the development of Laniah Randle, who achieved the milestone of 1,000 career points during the season. Randle led the team in rebounding in 15 games and led in scoring in eight games throughout the season.
During his first year on staff, Beverly expanded the intimidate impact of Tiger freshman Grace Slaughter and Abbey Schreacke. Slaughter earned All-SEC Freshman Team honors and ranked fourth in the among first-year players in scoring at 11.6 points per game while Schreacke led the conference’s freshman class in 3-point percentage at 38.4%.
Assisted by Beverly, Mama Dembele earned All-SEC Defensive Team recognition as the Tigers’ point guard ranked top 10 nationally in both steals and assists.
His first year on staff marked the conclusion the decorated career of Hayley Frank who became the fourth Tiger in program history to record 2,000 career points and ranked seventh in the conference in scoring.
An experienced veteran in the coaching realm with over 15 years spent on the sidelines, Beverley came to the Tigers after two seasons as the head coach of Evangel where he led the Valor to consecutive appearances in the Heart Tournament Quarterfinals.
During his tenure, Beverly coached five All-Conference players.
Prior to joining Evangel, Beverly served as the head coach 16U and 14U Nike Girls EYBL Teams in New York. He also served as an assistant coach for the 17U team where he coached four ESPN Top 50 recruits.
Before his stint on the prep circuit, Beverly was in the collegiate coaching ranks as an assistant coach at Hofstra University during the 2019-20 season.
From 2015-19, Beverly coached at Richard Bland College of William & Mary while also working as the assistant athletic director. He served as an assistant with the men's program for three seasons before taking over the head role during the 2018-19 year.
During his time, Beverly coached seven all-region athletes and the Stateman to a final four appearance, two district championships, and a Region X Championship.Â
He held previous coaching roles at Lincoln College of New England, Nyack College, and Bowdoin College.
While at Lincoln, Beverly built a program that averaged 20 wins per season and compiled a .727 winning percentage. He guided them to their first-ever NJCAA National Tournament and was named District Coach of the Year.Â
Beverly graduated from Virginia Military Institute in 2006 with a degree in computer science and a minor in psychology and math, reaching the rank of S-6 Lieutenant.Â
He and his wife Danielle have four children.
