The Tigers host six meets in 2026, including the previous two national champions
Coming off the best season in program history, Mizzou gymnastics released the program's schedule for the 2026 season on Wednesday, featuring six regular-season home meets, announced by head coach Shannon Welker.
Mizzou's first competition of the campaign sees it hosting Iowa State on January 4. Following its season-opening home meet, MU travels to Lincoln to compete against the Nebraska Cornhuskers at Bob Devaney Sports Center.
The team opens Southeastern Conference action against reigning national champion Oklahoma in Columbia on January 16 and heads to Alabama to take on the Crimson Tide on January 23 for its first SEC road contest.
The Tigers return to Missouri for a two-meet homestand against 2024 national champion LSU on January 30 and Florida on February 6. Mizzou then takes a one-meet road trip on February 13 to Lexington, Kentucky, taking on the Wildcats.
MU's final two home meets will come on February 20 with a quad meet against Illinois, Ball State and Air Force in addition to senior day on March 1 against Arkansas. Its last meets of the regular season come on the road at Georgia in Stegeman Coliseum on March 6 and at Auburn in Neville Arena on March 13.
The team commences its postseason run with the SEC Championship on Saturday, March 21 before the NCAA Regional Championships April 1-5.
Mizzou will seek its fourth NCAA Championship Semifinal appearance in program history and second-consecutive trip to the national championship meet in Fort Worth, Texas, scheduled for April 16 and 18, respectively.
MU returns 13 members from the 2025 squad, including four Women's Collegiate Gymnastics Association All-Americans, that had the best finish in program history, taking third in the NCAA Championship Final.
Ahead of the 2026 campaign, Welker's 13th season leading the program, Mizzou welcomes a trio of transfers and a freshmen class of four, marking the third-straight year the Tigers have ranked in the top 20 of College Gym News' recruiting class rankings.
