KEY PLAYERS
- Senior Janet deMarrais recorded a new season high for kills with 20 alongside a .295 hitting percentage.
- Redshirt junior Marina Crownover took home her sixth double-double of the season, as she had 40 assists and 12 digs. The setter also added five block assists to her numbers.

- Senior Regan Haith posted a new career high as she had 10 total blocks.
FIRST SET (25-18, Mizzou leads 1-0)
The Beacons came out strong in this one, putting the Tigers behind early, but a 6-0 scoring run heading into the first Valpo timeout changed that. Valparaiso opened the set with a 5-1 lead, but a kill from deMarrais spurred a run that saw MU take the lead 17-13.
That stretch would continue, as the Tigers pushed the run to 9-0 before the Beacons got back on the board to make it 20-13.
Mizzou would wrap up the rest of the set smoothly as it took home the early lead 25-18.
SECOND SET (24-26, Match tied 1-1)
The Tigers continued to fight tooth and nail against Valaparaiso, as they would hold a slight lead at the media timeout, 15-14.
Mizzou's lead wouldn't last as the following three points belonged to the Beacons, and MU had to take its first timeout of the match, as it fell behind 17-15.
In the end, it was Valpo that surged late, as it took the set 26-24. The Tigers are now 3-3 this season when the set goes past 25 points.
THIRD SET (25-23, Mizzou leads 2-1)
While the Beacons once again found themselves ahead early, MU was able to turn it around quickly. Valparaiso led 5-2, but it was short-lived as the Tigers found the lead at 8-7.
Mizzou would earn at its largest a four-point lead, but the remainder of the set would be a fight to maintain a lead. In the end, the Tigers would come off the set as a winner, taking it 25-23.
FOURTH SET (25-16, Mizzou wins 3-1)
MU played the fourth set throughout this time around, as it opened strong, only allowing the Beacons to get ahead by two points. After evening it, the Tigers put up a 4-0 scoring run to force Valpo to take a timeout with MU winning it 9-5.
The remainder of the set would be much of the same, as the Tigers ended the match on a 6-1 run to finalize it in four sets.
