
Tennis' Inah Canete Named to SEC Community Service Team

COLUMBIA, Mo. – University of Missouri tennis senior Inah Canete was named to the 2025 SEC Women's Tennis Community Service Team, the league office announced on Thursday, April 10. The honor marks the first of its kind for Canete in her career.
All Southeastern Conference-sponsored sports have had a Community Service Team since 2004, with at-large teams for men's and women's sports being chosen from 1999-2003.
Inah Canete has completed 66 hours of community service spread out over 42 events. Canete has spent numerous hours volunteering at Columbia Public School as a recess or lunch role model and with the Special Olympics, working with sports like powerlifting, bowling, and volleyball. Additionally, she has spent time at the Veterans Hospital writing thank-you notes. The senior also contributes to Mizzou, working Welcome Week, Adopt-a-Family and Indoor Track & Field meets.
The Tigers are back in action this weekend, welcoming No. 6 Tennessee on Friday, April 11 at 1 p.m. CT, and then on Sunday, April 13, they will host a doubleheader with No. 46 Kentucky at 10:30 a.m. CT and Lindenwood at 4 p.m. CT.
