
Tennis Hosts SEMO in Home Opener Saturday

Mizzou tennis plays its home opener against SEMO this Saturday, Jan. 31, at 3:30 p.m. CT.
Missouri is 1-2 after earning its first sweep of the season against Chicago State, Jan. 17. Sophomore Gian Octa was a standout, winning her doubles match with freshman Lara Quaglia, followed by her singles match in straight sets.
The team highlights a wealth of experience from graduate student Mary Brumfield, alongside sophomore Korina Roso, who looks to build off a successful freshman debut. The Tigers also gain talent in five-star incoming freshman Alex Ackman.
SEMO is 2-3 this season, coming off wins versus Northern Iowa and Drake.
Mizzou holds an all-time 18-3 record against SEMO and 15-0 at home all-time. The Tigers last beat the Redhawks on Feb. 15, 2025, with a 4-0 final score.
UP NEXT
The Tigers remain at home and welcome Saint Louis and SIUE on Feb. 7 for a doubleheader starting at 10:30 a.m. CT and 3 p.m. CT, respectively.
