Tennis Drops Road Match to Wisconsin in Season Opener

Mizzou tennis wrapped up its first of three matches in DeKalb, Illinois, against Wisconsin on Jan. 16.
The morning began with doubles, where graduate student Mary Brumfield and senior Andrea Artimedi battled at the No. 3 spot. The Tigers dropped matches at No. 1 and No. 2, falling short of earning the doubles point and leaving Brumfield and Artimedi's match unfinished at 4-4.
In singles, Missouri fought but was unable to come up with a win. Freshman Alex Ackman and sophomore Zoe Lazar each won their first sets but were both defeated in three sets.
