COLUMBIA, Mo. – University of Missouri women's basketball (8-2) will take on Alabama A&M (1-6) on Sunday afternoon in Mizzou Arena. The game will air on SEC Network with tipoff set for 2 p.m. CT.
The Tigers are returning home after a pair of road trips. Mizzou fell to Missouri State on Friday night. Hayley Frank and Aijha Blackwell each put up double-digit scoring efforts in the defeat. The Tigers scored a season-low of 51 points and shot 34.6 percent from the field.
Mizzou opened the season with eight-straight wins, the program's best season-opening streak since the 2015-16 season.
Aijha Blackwell currently sits 11th in the nation in rebounding, averaging 11.8 rebounds per game. Blackwell has put up six double doubles on the season to move her career total to 26.
Three Tigers are currently averaging over 10 points per game. Aijha Blackwell, Hayley Frank, and Lauren Hansen have each led the Tigers in scoring for at least one game on the year. Lauren Hansen's 34 points at Lehigh were the most by a Tiger since Sophie Cunningham during the 2017-18 season.
