Mizzou Tennis Opens SEC Play with Mississippi State and LSU

Mizzou hosts Mississippi State on Friday, travels to LSU on Sunday
COLUMBIA, Mo. – The Mizzou Tennis team kicks off SEC play at the Mizzou Tennis Complex against Mississippi State on Friday, Feb. 28 at 5 p.m. CT. After Friday's SEC-opener, the Tigers will then travel to Baton Rouge, La. to face LSU on Sunday at Noon CT.
Mizzou lost to Memphis and Minnesota by a score of 4-3 in their last time out. Junior Ellie Wright (Gainesville, Fla.) picked up a victory in both of her singles matches, while senior Serena Nash (Bradford, England), sophomore Vivien Ábrahám (Budapest, Hungary) and freshman Elys Ventura (Aukland, New Zealand) picked up one singles victory on the day.
Mississippi State enters Friday's matchup with a record of 6-3. In their last time out, they swept Alabama State, 4-0. LSU has a record of 7-2 on the year, defeating Rice 4-1 in their last match.
After this weekend's matches, the Tigers continue SEC play against Arkansas on March 8, at 1:00 p.m. CT.
