
Tennis Earns Four CSC Academic All-American Selections

COLUMBIA, Mo. - Mizzou tennis had four student-athletes earn College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District honors, announced on Monday, May 12.
Senior Andrea Artimedi earned the accolade for the second time in her career, while sophomores Gian Octa, Korina Roso and Zoe Lazar collected the award for the first time.
The 2026 Academic All-District® Women's Tennis Team, selected by CSC, recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom.
Artimedi is set to graduate with a bachelor's degree in Nutrition and Exercise Physiology. She finished the season with a 10-10 singles mark, including victories against Southeastern Conference opponents South Carolina and Arkansas. She also earned the Heather Morris Courage Award from Mizzou Athletics, which honors student-athletes who demonstrate heart and perseverance in the face of adversity.
Octa finished the season at No. 79 in the ITA rankings. An impressive 20-8 singles record, the Toronto native collected four wins against conference foes, including the No. 33-ranked player in the country. The sophomore is working towards a degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in finance and banking.
Roso is majoring in Business Administration with an emphasis on International Business. She spent the season at the No. 1 and No. 2 singles slots, finishing with a 19-15 record, including a win over Arkansas. The sophomore also earned two conference doubles wins over Kentucky and Florida with partners Lazar and Artimedi.
Lazar is working towards a degree in Parks, Recreation, Sport and Tourism. The Argentina native finished with a 12-10 singles record and was 13-16 in doubles contests. Lazar's season was highlighted by a 6-2 doubles win over Kentucky with partner Roso and five straight doubles wins in February.
