COLUMBIA, Mo. – No. 21 Mizzou Volleyball (4-0) will host the Tiger Invitational this weekend (Sept. 13-15) inside the Hearnes Center. The Tigers will compete in four matches over three days, kicked off by a day-night doubleheader Friday.
Mizzou's true home opener is slated for Friday morning at 11 a.m. CT against Austin Peay. Later that evening, the Tigers will host Northern Iowa with first serve scheduled for 7 p.m. CT. Both contests will broadcast live on SEC Network + via WatchESPN.
Saturday and Sunday afternoon will bring single matchups versus Kansas City and Boise State, respectively. First serve is slated for 2 p.m. CT and Noon CT, respectively. Due to Mizzou Football's contest Saturday evening, the Tigers' matchup against Kansas City will not have video coverage. However, the Tigers' weekend finale versus Boise State will also air live on SEC Network + via WatchESPN.
Ben Arnet and former Mizzou Volleyball All-American Kira Larson will be on the call for all three broadcasts this weekend.

Series Snapshot vs. Austin Peay
- Mizzou leads in the all-time series, 2-1.
- The two programs last met two years ago (Aug. 26, 2017) in a season-opening tournament at Austin Peay. The Governors escaped with a thrilling five-set victory, marking their first triumph in the all-time series.
- Friday morning will mark the programs' second all-time meet in the Hearnes Center. The Tigers were victorious, 3-0, in the first meeting (Oct. 8, 2013).
Series Snapshot vs. Northern Iowa
- Mizzou trails in the all-time series, 10-3-2.
- It will mark the programs' first contest in two years (Aug. 26, 2017) as the two squads also met on the campus of Austin Peay. Similar to the Tigers and Governors' matchup that tournament, Northern Iowa tallied a five-set victory over Mizzou.
- Friday evening's contest will mark the programs' first-ever meeting in Columbia, Missouri.
Series Snapshot vs. Kansas City
- Mizzou leads in the all-time series, 30-4.
- The two squads haven't met in five years (Oct. 13, 2014), as the Roos produced a 3-1 victory in Kansas City, Missouri.
- Prior to Kansas City's triumph in 2014, the Tigers had claimed 10 consecutive wins in the all-time series. Saturday morning's meeting will be the programs' first in the Hearnes Center in 10 years (Sept. 23, 2009).
Series Snapshot vs. Boise State
- Mizzou leads in the all-time series, 2-1.
- All three of the programs' all-time meetings have occurred in the past five years. Furthermore, the three contests have all taken place in the state of Idaho prior to this weekend's contest.
- Boise State produced a straight-set victory in the last matchup (Sept. 2, 2017) as it hosted an early-season tournament.
Mizzou Cracks AVCA Top 25 Poll, Sit at No. 21 Overall
- Mizzou placed No. 21 in the latest American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Division I Coaches Top 25 poll, announced Monday (Sept. 9) by the organization's office. It marks the Tigers' first appearance in the national poll this season.
- Mizzou has appeared in the AVCA poll 27 total times since joining the Southeastern Conference in 2012.
- The Tigers gained national attention following an impressive sweep over No. 14 Michigan (Sept. 6) at the Dayton Invitational. It stood as Mizzou's 16th, Top 25 nationally ranked victory since joining the SEC.
