Tigers post double-digit runs for third time in four games
COLUMBIA, Mo. – Mizzou Baseball (11-5) capped off a perfect five-game homestand Wednesday with a convincing 14-4 victory over Arkansas State. The game was called after seven innings of play following a mutual agreement by both teams' head coaches.
The visiting Red Wolves jumped out to a 4-0 lead in the first inning, but Mizzou quickly responded with four runs of its own in the bottom half. It was all Tigers the rest of the evening, as they tallied a single run in the second inning, seven runs in the third and two final runs in the fifth.

Hear From Head Coach Steve Bieser
On Vierling's big three-RBI single in the first inning…
"After allowing four runs in the top half, I was happy with how we responded. This game could've been totally different if Mark (Vierling) didn't come through with that two out hit. It would've really turned the tides with Arkansas State building some confidence. If they had the lead they would've had a lot of different bullpen guys to use."
