COLUMBIA, Mo. – Mizzou Baseball (11-5) opens its 2019 Southeastern Conference schedule this weekend at No. 10 Arkansas. The series opener is scheduled for Friday (March 15) evening at Baum Stadium. First pitch is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. CT.
The Tigers and Razorbacks will meet in consecutive day games to end the weekend set. First pitch Saturday (March 16) and Sunday (March 17) is slated for 2 p.m. CT and 1:30 p.m. CT, respectively.
All three games at Baum Stadium will broadcast live on SEC Network + via WatchESPN. Fans can tune-in to KTGR (105.1 FM, 100.5 FM and 1580 AM) all season long, as Tex Little and Matt Michaels will be on the radio airwaves.

Series History vs. Arkansas
- Mizzou leads the all-time series over Arkansas, 31-26-1.
- The two programs last met two seasons ago (March 24-26, 2017) for a three-game series at Taylor Stadium. The Razorbacks took two of three overall, claiming the series opener and finale.
- Mizzou last made the trek to Fayetteville three years ago (April 1-3, 2016). After dropping the series opener, 7-6, the Tigers responded with back to back wins to claim the series victory.
A Look at Tigers' SEC Series Openers
- In its six-year run (2013-18) in the SEC thus far, Mizzou possesses a 9-9 record in all-time conference series openers.
- This weekend will be the fifth consecutive year that the Tigers have opened SEC play on the road. Mizzou has visited LSU (2018), Alabama (2017), Florida (2016) and Georgia (2015) in its past four years.
- The Tigers' top SEC series-opening success occurred in 2017 and 2015, as they claimed three-game sweeps at Alabama and Georgia, respectively.
Mizzou Outscores Arkansas State 30-5 in Two-Game Series Sweep
- Mizzou capped off a perfect five-game homestand (March 8-13) on Wednesday with a convincing 14-4 victory over Arkansas State.
- Mizzou toppled 10-plus runs in each game over the two-game series, marking its fourth and fifth double-digit scoring outputs of the season. All five of the Tigers' 10-plus runs on offense have occurred in their past 10 games played.
- Mizzou simply teed off Tuesday-Wednesday against Arkansas State pitching, hitting .371 (23-for-62) with 30 runs scored, two doubles, three home runs and 28 RBI. Junior SS Chris Cornelius (.667), sophomore 2B Mark Vierling (.667), junior OF Kameron Misner (.600), freshman Josh Holt Jr. (.571), senior 1B Tony Ortiz (.400) and sophomore C Chad McDaniel (.333) all recorded high averages at the plate over their recent two-game stretches.
- Vierling's four RBI Wednesday matched his single-game career-high. He originally set the standard last season at FIU (Feb. 17, 2018).
- Misner's grand slam in the third inning was the first by a Tiger since Brian Sharp at Kentucky last year (April 29, 2018).
