Storylines

Mizzou and Georgia square off for the second time in a week's span and for the second consecutive season in the SEC Tournament.
Mizzou is looking for its fourth win in the SEC Tournament since joining the league and its first since an overtime victory over Auburn on March 8, 2017, in this building.
In the Tigers' loss to Ole Miss on Saturday, freshman Xavier Pinson led Mizzou with a career-high 20 points. With Torrence Watson and Javon Pickett both reaching that mark earlier this season, Mizzou has three freshmen with 20+-point games in the same campaign for the first time in progam history.
Mizzou's back-to-back wins over Georgia and South Carolina marked the first time the Tigers beat two consecutive league opponents by 15+ points since Feb. 13, 2013.
Mizzou limited Georgia to just 39 points last Wednesday, the Bulldogs' fewest points scored in a home game since managing just 36 vs. Georgia Tech on Dec. 28, 1945. It was also the fewest points scored by a Mizzou opponent in SEC play since Mississippi State scored just 36 points on Feb. 13, 2013.
Since Feb. 16, Mizzou owns a +73 margin on the glass and owns a +10.4 advantage per game during the seven-game stretch. Mizzou piled up a season-high 50 rebounds at Georgia, the most ever by the Tigers in an SEC game. Mizzou has now outrebounded its opponent 23 times in 30 games this season, including eight consecutive opponents. The Tigers rank 25th nationally and second in the SEC behind only Kentucky in rebounding defense, limiting opponents to 31.3 boards per game.
Since Nov. 18, senior Jordan Geist has reached double figures 23 times in the last 27 games and in 12 of the last 13 games after totaling 12 points and four assists vs. Ole Miss. Geist has scored 15+ points 13 times this season after notching 15+ six times in his previous two seasons combined.
Mizzou has held opponents under 70 points 38 times in the Martin era, which amounts to 60.3 percent of the games with him at the helm. When the Tigers have done so this season, they are 13-4.

Torrence and the Freshmen on Fire

Freshman Torrence Watson is averaging 15.7 points per game and shooting 45.5 percent from beyond the arc over the last four games.
He has set a new program record for single-season made 3-pointers by a Mizzou freshman with 47.
Watson exploded for a career-high 20 points on a career-best seven made field goals vs. South Carolina, then followed with 17 points and a career-high five 3-pointers at Georgia. Watson became just the fourth Mizzou freshman to make five 3-pointers in a game since 2015 and the first since Jontay Porter at South Carolina last season.
He is averaging 10.3 points per game over the last 12 games, draining at least one triple in every contest. In that span, he's scored 123 points and made 29 treys after notching just 79 points (4.6 PPG) and 18 treys in Mizzou's first 18 games.

Mizzou owned a +22 margin on the glass at Georgia last week, its largest margin in league play since +23 against Arkansas on March 5, 2013. The 50 boards that night were the Tigers' most in a league game since pulling down 55 on Jan. 11, 2011 vs. Iowa State. It marked Mizzou's sixth 50+ board performance as a team since 2010.
Mizzou has averaged 12.4 offensive rebounds per game over the last 11 outings, grabbing at least 10 in six of the last eight games.
Mizzou outrebounded No. 4 Kentucky 34-28, marking just the second time the Wildcats were outrebounded during league play.
