Biography
2019-20 (SOPHOMORE, Mizzou)
- Appeared in all 31 games, making 11 starts.
- Averaged 11.1 points, 2.8 assists and 2.8 rebounds in 24 minutes per game and finished with 344 points, 86 dimes, 87 boards and 24 steals.
- Was electric in SEC play, elevating his averages to 13.3 points and 3.1 rebounds per contest while shooting 38.7 percent from the field and 83.7 percent from the free throw line.
- Had a historic nine-game stretch to end the season in which he scored 170 points, averaging 18.9 points per game from Feb. 8 to March 7. In that stretch, scored at least 20 points four times, highlighted by a 32-point outburst. The 170 points were the most by a Tiger in a nine-game stretch since 2014.
- Since 2014-15 only Pinson, Jordan Geist and Kassius Robertson posted three 24+ point scoring games in the same season. Pinson did so in just a four-game span vs. Arkansas, Auburn and Ole Miss.
- Scored in double figures 14 times, including in seven of the final nine games.
- Mizzou was 6-3 when Pinson led the Tigers in scoring in 2019-20.
- After posting a negative assist-to-turnover ratio as a freshman, posted a 1.1 ratio as a sophomore.

- Reached double figures for the fifth straight game with 20 points and five boards vs. Mississippi State (Feb. 29).
- Scored 15 of his team-high 17 points in the second half and added five rebounds to lead Mizzou in a win at Vandy (Feb. 26).
- Dished a career-best seven dimes and finished with 15 points and six boards at Arkansas (Feb. 22), the fifth Tiger to hit all those marks in the same game in the last decade.
- Scored a career-high 32 points on 9-of-13 shooting, the most points by a Tiger since 2014 (Jabari Brown), vs. Ole Miss (Feb. 18).
- Erupted for 28 points on 10-of-12 shooting & added five assists in a dominant win over No. 11 Auburn (Feb. 15).
- Posted nine points, a career-high seven assists and six boards in an all-around effort at No. 25 LSU (Feb. 11).
- Poured in 24 points, going 12-of-13 from the line, and grabbed seven boards vs. Arkansas (Feb. 8).
- Had 12 points on three 3-pointers at South Carolina (Feb. 1).
- Led Mizzou with a then-season-high 16 points, all in the second half, keying a furious comeback victory over Georgia (Jan. 28).
- Hit 9-of-9 FTs en route to 11 points at Alabama (Jan. 18).
- Posted eight points, three assists and two steals, including a ferocious highlight reel dunk, vs. Florida (Jan. 11).
- Scored 14 points, including 11 in the second half, and added four boards to ignite Mizzou's win over Illinois (Dec. 21).
- Had two monster buckets to ice the game at Temple (Dec. 7), and finished with seven points, three assists and two steals.
- Tallied 10 points and three assists vs. Butler (Nov. 25).

2018-19 (FRESHMAN):Â
- Played in 31 of Mizzou’s 32 games as a freshman, making 12 starts and averaging 6.6 points, 2.6 rebounds and 2.3 assists per contest.
- Shot 41.2 percent from the field and ranked second on the team in 3-point field goal percentage (min. 25 attempts), shooting 40 percent from beyond the arc.
- The 40-percent clip from 3-point range was the third-highest single-season 3-point field goal percentage by a freshman in program history and the highest since Kareem Rush in 1999-00.
- Elevated his scoring in league play, chipping in 7.4 points per game and reaching double figures seven times. Â
- Shot 77.9 percent from the free throw line, tied for the sixth-best single-season percentage by a freshman in Mizzou history.
- Became just the third Tiger freshman in program history to shoot at least 40 percent from the field, 40 percent from 3-point range and 75 percent from the free throw line in the same campaign alongside Brian Grawer (1997-98) and Kareem Rush (1999-00).
- Grabbed at least three rebounds on 14 occasions and snagged at least six four times from the point guard position.
- Dished at least three assists 12 times as a freshman and scored in double figures nine times.
- Broke out vs. No. 12 Kansas State in the Paradise Jam title game, scoring 12 points on 4-of-6 shooting (Nov. 12).
- Hit a career-high three triples and notched 11 points and four assists vs. Oral Roberts (Dec. 7).
- Dished five assists, grabbed six boards and collected two steals in 16 strong minutes vs. Xavier (Dec. 18).
- Chipped in seven points and two highlight-reel dimes in 10 electric minutes in the Braggin’ Rights win over Illinois (Dec. 22).
- Converted a career-high seven free throws and poured in 14 points vs. No. 3 Tennessee (Jan. 8).
- In a stretch from Jan. 23 to Feb. 16, scored at least eight points in seven of eight games, shooting 43.1-percent from the field (22-of-51).
- Made his first career start at Auburn (Jan. 30), recording 11 points and four assists.
- Played a career-high 32 minutes at No. 1 Tennessee, scoring 10 points and grabbing eight boards.
- Set career-highs for assists (six) and steals (three) while chipping in five points vs. Texas A&M (Feb. 9).
- Scored 11 points and grabbed a team and career-high nine rebounds in a win over Arkansas (Feb. 12).
- Notched 11 points and matched his career-high with nine boards at Ole Miss (Feb. 16).
- Had a career-night vs. Ole Miss in the regular season finale (March 9), ripping off a career-high 20 points on 8-of-12 shooting while dishing six assists.
- Followed with 15 points in Mizzou’s SEC Tournament victory over Georgia (March 12), shooting 4-of-7 from the field and 6-of-6 from the free throw line.
HIGH SCHOOL:
- Consensus three-star recruit rated the nation’s No. 34 point guard by Rivals.com.
- Helped Simeon Academy to a Top-5 ranking in the USA Today Super 25 Computer National rankings and Illinois Class 4A Sectional Championship.
- Averaged 11.9 points and 3.8 assists while shooting 58.5 percent from the field at Simeon.
- Guided Simeon to a 29-4 record and won the Public League Championship.
- Senior season was highlighted by an 18-point, 7-assist performance in a victory over Longwood.
- Scored 31 points in Chicago’s annual City + Suburban All-Star Game.
- 2018 Chicago Sun-Times All-City honorable mention.
