FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Mizzou Women's Basketball (20-9, 9-6 SEC) recorded its 20th victory of the season on Thursday night at Bud Walton Arena, as the Tigers defeated the Arkansas Razorbacks, 73-67. Mizzou recorded its most points scored in a quarter with 36 in the fourth as the win secured Mizzou's fourth consecutive 20-win season for the first time since 1983-87.
Free throw shooting was pivotal for Mizzou in the victory, as the Tigers converted on a season-high 96.3 percent (26-for-27) from the free throw line in the game, led by an 11-for-11 performance from senior forward Cierra Porter (Columbia, Mo.) and a 9-for-10 performance from senior guard Sophie Cunningham (Columbia, Mo.).
Porter led four Tigers in double figures as she scored a season high 21 points in the game while recording nine rebounds, four assists and two blocks. Cunningham produced her fifth double-double of the season and 13th of her career with 13 points and 12 rebounds.
Joining Porter and Cunningham in double figures was junior Jordan Roundtree (St. Louis, Mo.), who scored a career high 16 points, and junior Jordan Chavis (Lexington, N.C.), who scored 11 points and was 5-for-5 from the free throw line.
TURNING POINT
After being outscored 25-13 in the third quarter, Mizzou responded to outscore the Razorbacks, 36-26 in the fourth quarter to secure its 20th win of the season. The 36 points is the most Mizzou has scored in a quarter since game moved to the quarter format prior to the 2015-16 season. Porter led Mizzou with 13 points in the game's final period and was 7-for-7 from the charity stripe, as the Tigers overall were successful on 19-of-20 shots from the free throw line in the fourth quarter. Arkansas pulled within four points with 2:38 remaining in the game, but Mizzou was able to sink all six of its free throw attempts down the final stretch of the game to seal the victory.

- Porter led the way for Mizzou throughout the game, as she scored a season-high 21 points and matched season-highs in rebounds (nine) and assists (four), while also recording two blocks.
- Cunningham recorded her 11th consecutive game in double figures with 13 points, while recording her fifth game of the season with 10+ rebounds with 12. It was her fifth double-double of the season, and 13th of her career.
- Roundtree set career highs in points (16), field goals made (six) and three-pointers made (four) in 24 minutes of action.
NOTES
- Mizzou's 36-point performance in the fourth quarter was its single best scoring performance in a quarter since NCAA women's basketball moved to the quarter format prior to the 2015-16 season, surpassing the 35 points Mizzou scored in the first quarter against Vanderbilt on Feb. 22, 2018.
- Mizzou shot a remarkable 96.3 percent (26-for-27) from the free throw line, its best mark when making 10+ free throws since shooting 100 percent (14-for-14) from the free throw line Alabama on Dec. 31, 2017.
- The Tigers' success from the charity stripe is the sixth-best free throw shooting performance in program history (minimum 10 made), trailing only 100 percent performances against Oklahoma (21-for-21) on Jan. 28, 2004, Illinois (10-for-10) on Dec. 19, 2007, North Florida (10-for-10) on Nov. 20, 2011, Alabama (14-for-14) on Dec. 31, 2017 and a 96.4 percent performance against Indiana State (27-for-28) on Nov. 22, 2016.
- Porter tallied her eighth career 20-point game with a season-high 21 points.
- Porter was a perfect 11-for-11 from the free throw line in the game, matching her career-best performance from the charity stripe when she shot 11-for-11 against Kentucky on Jan. 30, 2017. She moved to No. 9 all-time at Mizzou in career free throws made with 336, surpassing Jordan Frericks (327, 2013-18).
- There have only been four perfect performances from the free throw line (minimum 10 made) in program history, and Porter now has two such performances. She joins Lisa Plummer (14-for-14 vs. Kansas, Nov. 24, 1979) and Tracy Ellis (14-for-14 vs. Tennessee Tech, Dec. 12, 1987).
- With two blocks, Porter also moved No. 10 all-time at Mizzou in career blocks with 109, surpassing Joni Davis (108, 1981-85).
- With 13 points and 12 rebounds, Cunningham notched her fifth double-double of the season and 13th of her career.
- Cunningham continued her recent scoring surge, as she has now scored in double figures in 11 consecutive contests and is averaging 20.5 points over that stretch.
- Cunningham dished out three assists in the game to move into fourth-place all-time at Mizzou with 373 assists, surpassing Dee-Dee Polk who recorded 372 from 1982-84.
- Roundtree set career highs in points (16), field goals made (six) and three-pointers made (four) in the game. Her previous highs were 10 points (twice, last vs. Ole Miss, Jan. 3, 2019), four field goals (three times, last vs. Texas A&M, Feb. 7, 2019) and three three-pointers (at Florida, Jan. 13, 2019).
- Mizzou shot 44.2 percent (19-for-45) from the field in the game, marking the 15th time in the last 17 games the Tigers have shot at least 40 percent from the field.
- Mizzou outrebounded Arkansas by 22 boards, 45-23, its largest rebounding margin of the season, surpassing the +20 margin in a season-opening win over Western Illinois (52-32, Nov. 6, 2019).
