
Mizzou Men’s Golf Travels to Hawaii for Final Fall Tournament

The Tigers are playing in the Hoakalei Country Club Invitational
COLUMBIA, Mo. – Mizzou Men's Golf is heading to Oahu, Hawaii for the Hoakalei Country Club Collegiate Invitational. The Tigers will tee off at Hoakalei Country Club (Par 72, 7,444 yards) on Monday, Oct. 28 at 1 p.m. CT and will play 18 holes each on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. This will be the final tournament of the Tigers' fall season.
Mizzou will compete against 19 other teams in Oahu: Abilene Christian, Army West Point, Cal Poly, Cal State Fullerton, Denver, East Tennessee State, Hawaii, Idaho, Louisiana, Louisville, Loyola Marymount, Marquette, Mississippi, Nevada, New Mexico State, Sam Houston State, San Diego State, UMKC and UT San Antonio.
Senior Rory Franssen (Inverness, Scotland) has filled the top spot for the Tigers in every tournament this season and that trend will continue in Hawaii. Franssen claimed his second Top-10 finish of the year at the Bank of Tennessee Intercollegiate. He hopes to ride that momentum going into the Hoakalei CC Collegiate Invitational. The senior is averaging 71.1 strokes per round this season, the lowest mark of his career.
Freshman Ross Steelman (Columbia, Mo.) followed up his individual title at the Prairie Club Invitational with a Top-25 finish at the loaded Bank of Tennessee Intercollegiate. He will start in the second spot for head coach Mark Leroux in Oahu. In his last two tournaments, Steelman has recorded three rounds under par, including an 8-under 65 and a 5-under 67.
In the third spot for Mizzou is senior Ricky Sanders (The Hague, Netherlands). Sanders has placed in the Top-10 twice this season and hopes to use his senior leadership to encourage a strong performance from the Tigers in Hawaii.
Making his first collegiate start in the fourth spot for the Tigers in freshman Yu-Ta Tsai (Taipei, Taiwan). Tsai competed as an individual at the Turning Stone-Tiger Intercollegiate and carded a 235 (19-over).
In the final spot for Mizzou is junior Jack Parker (Columbia, Mo.). Parker has finished in the Top-50 in every tournament this year and shot a 2-over 218 at the Bank of Tennessee Intercollegiate.
Freshman Viktor Einarsson (Reykjavik, Iceland) will compete as an individual in the Hoakalei Country Club Collegiate Invitational.
