COLUMBIA, Mo. – Mizzou Volleyball concludes its road non-conference tournament schedule this weekend at the Towson Invitational. The Tigers will play three matches over a two-day span, highlighted by a tournament-opening matchup against 2017 NCAA Tournament qualifier Princeton.

Mizzou leads the all-time series, 2-0.
The two Tiger programs last met on Sept. 20, 2013, in a matchup at the Tiger Invitational inside the Hearnes Center. Mizzou produced a straight-set victory, holding Towson to under 16 points in each set.
Friday evening's contest will mark the programs' first-ever meeting on the campus of Towson University.

Munlyn Tabbed SEC Defensive Player of the Week

For the 11th time in her storied black and gold career, senior MB Alyssa Munlyn was recognized by the Southeastern Conference office. On Tuesday, Sept. 4, Munlyn was named Week Two SEC Defensive Player of the Week, following four solo blocks and 22 total blocks (1.83 per set) at the Puerto Rico Invitational.
Led by her dominance at the net, Mizzou recorded double-digit total blocks in all three matches in San Juan, capped off by a season-high 14.0 total blocks against Arizona State.
Entering this weekend at Towson, Munlyn leads the SEC in block assists (32), total blocks (37) and blocks per set (1.68). Nationally, she ranks seventh in total blocks and 11th in blocks per set.

Tigers Deliver Perfect Trip in San Juan

A six day journey from Columbia to San Juan and back was well worth it, as Mizzou produced a perfect 3-0 record and a Puerto Rico Invitational Championship. Sophomore OH Kylie Deberg (MVP) and sophomore OH Dariana Hollingsworth were named to the All-Tournament Team following outstanding three-day stretches inside Coliseo Ruben Zayas Montanez.
Deberg paced all Tigers in kills (42), kills per set (3.50) and points (54.5), while Hollingsworth concluded her tournament with a standout 13 kills on .370 hitting, six digs and seven total blocks performance against previously undefeated Arizona State.
