No. 11 @MizzouWBB Hosts Arkansas Sunday in Annual We Back Pat Game

Tip off is set for 4 p.m. CT on SEC Network

COLUMBIA, MO. - No. 11 Mizzou Women's Basketball (16-2) is off to its best start in program history and returns home after a two-game road swing to face border rival Arkansas on Sunday. Tip off is slated for 4 p.m. CT at Mizzou Arena. The game will air on SEC Network. It will serve as Mizzou's annual We Back Pat game, which honors the legendary Pat Summitt and raises awareness for Alzheimer's disease and the Pat Summitt Foundation. At halftime of Sunday's game, the MU Children's Hospital Baby Race will take place.

Mizzou Hosts Border Rival Arkansas in Annual We Back Pat Game

  • The Tigers have captured their first 16-2 start through 18 games in program history. 
  • Mizzou's 4-1 mark in SEC action is already its best to start to league play since the Tigers joined the conference in 2012.
  • The Tigers have won nine of their last 10 regular season SEC games.
  • Mizzou allows the fewest rebounds per game in the nation, as opponents grab just 29.4 per game. 
  • The Tigers rank second in the SEC in free throw percentage, shooting 75.2 percent. Mizzou set a program record last season, shooting 80.2 percent at the line.
  • Mizzou put together an incredible offensive performance at Ole Miss, dishing a season-high 24 assists on 25 made field goals.
  • The 24 assists were the most in a game by Mizzou since racking up 25 vs. Texas State on Dec. 21, 2016. Mizzou is one of four teams in the SEC to dish at least 24 assists in a league game this season. 
  • An SEC team has recorded 20+ assists in a league game eight times thus far. Mizzou is responsible for three of those occasions with all three coming in the last three games.
  • Mizzou has piled up 20+ assists in three consecutive games, averaging 22 assists per contest since falling to LSU on Jan. 4.
  • So far this season, the Tigers are assisting on 62.6 percent of their field goals. That is a higher perctange than all other SEC teams and ranks 14th among Power 5 teams. 
  • After a season-opening loss, Mizzou ripped off 13 consecutive wins. The stretch made history, matching the longest streak in program history and the longest since 2015, when Mizzou opened the 2015-16 campaign with 13 consecutive victories. The Tigers also secured 13 straight victories from Jan. 30, 1985 to March 9, 1985.
  • The Tigers have been dominant at home. They have won 13 of their past 14 games at home. Mizzou has won 22 of its last 24 games at home and 38 of the last 43.
  • Mizzou is shooting a 38.0 percent from beyond the arc this season (140-of-368). As of now that's on pace to set a new program record, edging the 1989-90 and 2013-14 teams who shot 37.3 percent from deep. 
  • Mizzou currently ranks second in the SEC in 3-point field goal percentage. The Tigers have stepped up from deep in conference play, shooting 45.0 percent over their first four league games, which leads the SEC during conference action.
  • In five conference games, Pingeton's squad is averaging 9.0 three-pointers per game. 
  • Mizzou leads the nation in rebounding defense, holding opponents to just 29.4 rebounds per game.
  • The Tigers have outrebounded their opponent 16 times in 18 games this season. They have grabbed 40+ rebounds as a team eight times in the past 10 games.
  • Mizzou ranks 8th in the nation in rebounding margin (+10.6) and second in the SEC, trailing only Tennessee (+11.4).
  • Mizzou has outrebounded opponents by 10+ boards in a game on 10 different occassions, including eight times since Dec. 8.

Mizzou vs. Arkansas

  • Mizzou and Arkansas are meeting for the 20th time. The Tigers have won the last three meetings and four of the last five.
  • Mizzou hasn't lost at home to the Razorbacks since Jan. 5, 2014.
