COLUMBIA, Mo. – Mizzou Softball (29-25, 7-16 SEC) begins postseason play Wednesday (May 10) evening with a first round matchup against LSU at the 2017 Southeastern Conference Tournament. First pitch at Sherri Parker Lee Stadium in Knoxville, Tenn., is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. CT.
Mizzou enters this week's four-day tournament as the No. 11 seed, while LSU earned the No. 6 overall seed. The winner from Wednesday's opening round contest faces No. 3 seed Tennessee on Thursday (May 11) at 6:30 p.m. CT.
First and second round games at the SEC Tournament will broadcast live on SEC Network. Friday's pair of semifinal matchups will air live on ESPNU, while ESPN will serve as the home for Saturday night's championship contest.

- LSU leads the all-time series over Mizzou, 11-7.
- In the teams' last meeting, Mizzou claimed a 3-1 victory over LSU in Baton Rouge, La. (April 29, 2017).
Mizzou's History at the SEC Tournament
- The Tigers are seeking better fortunes at this year's SEC Tournament, as it suffered a one-and-done stretch at the 2016 Tournament in Starkville, Miss.
- Mizzou held a 4-0 advantage in the seventh inning over South Carolina, but the Gamecocks responded with seven unanswered runs to cap off their first round upset win.
- In 2015, Mizzou went 1-1 at the SEC Tournament held in Baton Rouge, La. The Tigers earned a 9-0 run-rule win over Mississippi State in round one, but fell 5-2 to Auburn in the second round.
- Mizzou and LSU also met in the quarterfinals round of the 2014 SEC Tournament. The Tigers from Baton Rouge recorded a 6-0 victory over the Mid-Missouri Tigers.
- Mizzou's top success at the SEC Tournament occurred in 2013, as that year's team advanced to the championship round. The Tigers defeated Arkansas and Tennessee in their opening two rounds, but fell 10-4 to Florida in the tournament finale.
Mizzou and LSU Set For Quick Rematch
- Mizzou opens this week's SEC Tournament in Knoxville, Tenn., against a similar foe in No. 18 LSU. The two Tigers programs competed in a three-game series in Baton Rouge, La., only two weekends ago (April 28-29).
- LSU claimed two of three over Mizzou, despite only outscoring the visiting Tigers to the tune of 7-6.
- Mizzou jumped out to a lead in each of the three matchups, but let its advantages slip away in Friday's series opener and game one of Saturday's doubleheader.
Mizzou Adds to 2017 Wins Resume
- This past weekend (May 5-7) inside Mizzou Softball Stadium against No. 21 Ole Miss, the Tigers salvaged a game with a 3-2 extra inning win in the series finale.
- Sunday's triumph over the Rebels marked Mizzou's ninth nationally ranked top 25 victory of the season, with seven of those coming in SEC action.
- Redshirt junior Anna Reed was Mizzou's key offensive contributor throughout the game, finishing 2-for-4 with a double, home run and two RBI.
- Reed's third home run of the year, a solo shot in the bottom of the seventh inning, tied the game at two apiece. The Tigers walked-off the Rebels in the ninth inning following an error by the third basemen with the bases loaded.
