
@MizzouGym's Aspen Tucker Named SEC Freshman of the Week

COLUMBIA, Mo. – Freshman Aspen Tucker (Lehigh Acres, Florida) of the No. 15 Missouri gymnastics team claimed Southeastern Conference Freshman of the Week honors, the league announced on Tuesday (March 7). She won the all-around title and tied for the vault crown against No. 18 Auburn on March 3 to help the Tigers post the third-highest score in program history.
Tucker earned her third all-around win of the season with a career-best 39.450, a total that ties for the third-highest freshman all-around total in school history. She also tied for first on vault with a 9.900 to claim the first individual event win of her young career. Additionally, she tallied a career-best 9.900 on floor and tied her personal-high with a 9.850 on bars against the visiting Tigers.
She currently ranks tied for 24th nationally on vault with a regional qualifying score (RQS) of 9.865 and is just outside the top 25 in the all-around as she clocks in at 28th with an RQS of 39.180.
Mizzou concludes the regular season on Friday, March 10 when the team hosts No. 12 Kentucky at the Hearnes Center at 7 p.m. CT.
