Tigers Produce Two Home Sweeps Last Week
- The Tigers enter this week with a four-match winning streak, marking their second-longest unbeaten streak in Southeastern Conference play this year (trailing only a five-match winning streak from Sept. 24 - Oct. 13).
- Last Friday (Nov. 3) against Texas A&M, the Tigers produced their fourth sweep in SEC action this season. Freshman Leketor Member-Meneh continued her recent offensive terror with a team-leading 12 kills on .500 hitting.
- It marked her third consecutive match in SEC play with double-digit kills and fourth overall in her past five matches.
- On the defensive side, redshirt sophomore Riley Sents paced the Tigers with 18 digs over three sets, matching her second-most single-match dig total in an SEC contest this season.
- The Grundy Center, Iowa, native has now paced Mizzou in single-match digs a team-best 18 times this year.
Mizzou's Blocking Efforts Continue to Shine
- Collectively, the Tigers eclipsed 10-plus team total blocks for the third-straight match (vs. Texas A&M) and for the 15th time this year. Heading into this week's action, Mizzou's 2.99 blocks per set ranks second-most in a single season in program history.
- Within the SEC and NCAA statistical rankings, the Tigers' 284.5 total blocks ranks 1st in the conference and 8th in the nation, while their 2.99 blocks per set ranks 2nd in the conference and 7th in the country.
Munlyn Records Dynamite All-Around Effort on the Court
- On Sunday (Nov. 5) afternoon against LSU, Mizzou once again tallied a sweep en route to its fourth-consecutive victory. Junior Alyssa Munlyn was virtually unstoppable with her attack at middle blocker, matching her season-high of 15 kills (on .636 hitting).
- Entering this week, Munlyn is within striking distance of breaking her own single-season Mizzou blocking records. The Suwanee, Ga., native's 145 total blocks are only nine away from setting a new program benchmark, while her 123 block assists are only two away from re-establishing a new individual single-season record.
