COLUMBIA, Mo. – Mizzou Volleyball (20-10, 13-4 SEC) welcomes No. 3 Florida to the Hearnes Center Saturday (Nov. 25) afternoon in the teams' 2017 regular season finale. First serve is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. CT and the match will broadcast live on SEC Network + via WatchESPN.
Saturday is also Senior Day in Mid-Missouri, as Melanie Crow, Courtney Eckenrode, Ali Kreklow, Kira Larson and Sydney Deeken will be honored prior to the match. Tiger fans are encouraged to arrive early to take part in the pre-match festivities.
Fan Promotions at Hearnes
- Tiger fans are encouraged to arrive early prior to Saturday afternoon's match against the Gators and attend the popular Kids Karnival, featuring a bounce house, appearance by Truman the Tiger, Mizzou cheerleaders and more!
Series Snapshot vs. Florida
- Mizzou trails in the all-time series against Florida, 6-4.
- The Tigers possess a 3-1 advantage in all-time matches played in Columbia, Mo.
- In the programs' last meeting, Florida claimed a 3-1 victory over Mizzou down in Gainesville, Fla., earlier this season (Nov. 12, 2017).
- Head Coach Wayne Kreklow and the Tigers have tallied wins in four of their past seven meetings against the nationally acclaimed Florida Gators.
- Since 2013, under head coach Mary Wise, the Southeastern Conference power Gators have dropped only nine total conference matches. Four of those nine (44-percent) losses have come by the hands of Mizzou (all coming in Columbia, Mo., at the Hearnes Center - 2013, '15, '16).
Four Tigers Recognized in 2017 SEC Awards
- Earlier this week (Nov. 22), Mizzou was well represented in the annual SEC Volleyball awards, as four Tigers garnered honors following a vote from the league's coaches.
- Larson and Alyssa Munlyn were named 2017 All-SEC, while the first-year duo of Kayla Caffey and Leketor Member-Meneh were tabbed 2017 SEC All-Freshman.
- Wednesday's announcement gives Mizzou Volleyball 15 all-time All-SEC honorees. The pair of All-Freshman accolades increases the Tigers' all-time total to four. Mizzou has garnered multiple All-SEC winners in five of six years since joining the conference in 2012.
