Mizzou Game Notes I Michigan NCAA Super Regional Central
COLUMBIA, Mo. – No. 15 Mizzou Softball (42-14) continues NCAA postseason play from Saturday, May 28 – Sunday, May 29 for a best of three Super Regional series against No. 2 Michigan (49-5).
The Tigers and Wolverines begin action on Saturday, May 28, in Ann Arbor, Mich. First pitch at Wilpon Complex/Alumni Field is scheduled for 2 p.m. (CT). Fans can watch live on ESPN with Pam Ward and Cheri Kempf on the call throughout the three-game set.
Game two is slated for 11 a.m. (CT) on Sunday, May 29, with a live broadcast on ESPN. If the series is tied at one game apiece, a final game three is scheduled for 2 p.m. (CT) on ESPNU.

TIGERS DOMINATE IN 2016 NCAA COLUMBIA REGIONAL
- Mizzou capped off an incredible 2016 NCAA Columbia Regional on Saturday (May 21), claiming a 9-0 shutout victory over Nebraska.
- The Tigers' third shutout win in three days clinched their 11th all-time NCAA Regional title and eighth crown under head coach Ehren Earleywine.
- Mizzou was simply dominant in its three days at University Field, outscoring its three opponents to the tune of 26-0.
- Since the current NCAA Softball Regional format began in 2005, only two teams have recorded three run-rule shutout victories en route to their Regional Championship. Mizzou joins Washington (2014) as the only two teams to accomplish the incredible feat.
- The Tigers' hitting and pitching were clicking on all cylinders from Thursday-Saturday. Mizzou's lineup hit .422 (27-for-64) with 26 runs scored, four doubles, three home runs, 22 RBI and 10 stolen bases.
- Sophomore Amanda Sanchez hit .750 with one home run and six RBI in Regional action, while senior Emily Crane batted .714 with one home run and six RBI as well.
- Freshman Regan Nash returned to the everyday lineup during Regionals, hitting .556 (5-for-9) with four runs scored, one double and three stolen bases.
- Redshirt senior Taylor Gadbois also produced at the plate, hitting .545 (6-for-11) with five runs and three stolen bases.
LOWARY DOMINATES IN THE CIRCLE FOR MIZZOU
- Sophomore LHP Paige Lowary was a one-man show for the Tigers in NCAA Regional play. Lowary tossed three consecutive complete game shutouts in the circle, leading the Tigers' astounding 26-0 run differential over BYU and Nebraska.
- The Tiger southpaw threw 16.0 scoreless innings in the Columbia Regional, while striking out 13 batters and limiting the opposition to a miniscule .127 average.
- Lowary is unquestionably pitching her best ball of the season, as she hasn't allowed a run in 35 of her last 36 innings pitched.
- The Dallas Center, Iowa, native is currently on a nine-game winning streak in the circle, spanning from April 23 – pres. Lowary's sensational stretch is the top winning streak by a Tiger pitcher this season.
MIZZOU NCAA SUPER REGIONAL HISTORY
- With their three-game sweep last weekend in Columbia, Mo., the Tigers advanced to their eighth all-time NCAA Super Regional.
- Mizzou owns a 7-9 all-time record in Super Regional action.
- The Tigers have claimed three Super Regional titles en route to a Women's College World Series berth. Mizzou won three consecutive Super Regionals from 2009-11 against UCLA, Oregon and Washington, respectively.
