COLUMBIA, Mo. – No. 14 Mizzou Softball concludes its early season tournament schedule with a trip to the Judi Garman Tournament in Fullerton, Calif. The Tigers will play five games in three days from March 3-5 at Anderson Family Field.
Mizzou begins action on Thursday, March 3, against No 2 Michigan at 12:30 p.m. (CT). Later that afternoon, the Tigers square off against San Jose State at 3 p.m. (CT). Friday, March 4, brings only one game with a matchup against California at 4:30 p.m. (CT).
The Tigers close out their weekend on Saturday, March 5, with games against No. 17 Arizona State at 7:30 p.m. (CT) and No. 22 Baylor at 10 p.m. (CT).

MIZZOU'S OFFENSE PRODUCING MONSTER NUMBERS
- A week after a sensational offensive debut (.375 average, 55 runs, nine home runs, 50 RBI, 26-for-26 in stolen bases at Citrus Classic), Mizzou's bats once again delivered in a big way this past weekend at the Mary Nutter Classic.
- The Tigers hit .425 with 52 runs, 62 hits, eight doubles, two triples, 47 RBI and went 10-for-10 in stolen bases in five games in Cathedral City, Calif.
- Overall this season, Mizzou's team .398 average ranks third in the SEC and third in the NCAA. Additionally, its 9.73 runs scored per game ranks second in the SEC and second in the NCAA, its 3.27 stolen bases per game ranks first in the SEC and second in the NCAA, its 1.55 home runs per game ranks third in the SEC and seventh in the NCAA and finally its .637 SLG% ranks second in the SEC and fifth in the NCAA.
INDIVIDUAL TIGERS HIGHLY RANKED
- Junior Chloe Rathburn exploded for four home runs and 14 RBI at the Mary Nutter Classic, upping her season totals to six home runs and 22 RBI. Currently, Rathburn's six long balls ranks second in the SEC and ninth in the NCAA. Her 22 RBI ranks third in the SEC and 10th in the NCAA while her 2.20 RBI per game is tops in the nation.
- Sophomore Amanda Sanchez's .583 average ranks second in the SEC and eighth-best in the NCAA. Her .614 OBP ranks fifth in the SEC and 24th in the NCAA.
- Redshirt senior Taylor Gadbois and freshman Regan Nash have each ran wild to start the 2016 campaign, recording nine stolen bases apiece in the Tigers' first 11 games. Their nine swipes places second-best in the SEC and 13th in the NCAA.
SANCHEZ, FAGAN AND RATHBURN LEAD CHARGE AT MARY NUTTER CLASSIC
- Sanchez, Rathburn and redshirt senior Sami Fagan paced the Mizzou's attack at the Mary Nutter Classic last weekend. Sanchez led the Tigers with a ridiculous .688 average (11-for-16) with seven runs, one double, one triple and four RBI. Sanchez hit safely in each Mary Nutter game, including four multi-hit efforts. The West Covina, Calif., native now has eight multi-hit games to her resume this season and has amassed a current 10-game hitting streak.
- Fagan was an absolute monster at the plate, hitting .650 (13-for-20) with a team-leading nine runs, two doubles, three home runs, nine RBI and 24 total bases. Fagan opened the weekend with a four-hit performance vs. North Carolina State (Feb. 25) and closed her set with another four-hit outing against BYU (Feb. 27). On the season, Fagan has five multi-hit efforts and is in midst of a six-game hitting streak.
- Rathburn had a day to remember in the Tigers' Mary Nutter opener vs. North Carolina State, going 2-for-3 with two home runs and seven RBI. The two long balls, including a grand slam, occurred in the same inning as Rathburn piled onto her team-lead in home runs. The Mission Viejo, Calif., native has five multi-RBI games to her name already, including single-game RBI totals of four, five and seven.
