OPENING TIP 
• Mizzou started the season 13-0 for the first time in program history with an unblemished run through nonconference play and the Tigers have reached 18 wins before February for only the second time in program history and first since the 1976-77 season. Mizzou is currently 5-6 during SEC play. The Tigers have defeated three top 50 RPI opponents and six top 100 RPI foes thus far in 2015-16.
• On Sunday, afternoon, Mizzou dropped a defensive battle, 52-42, at No. 11/12 Mississippi State in Starkville. Sophie Cunningham led Mizzou with 13 points while Jordan Frericks recorded her 23rd career double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds. The Tigers pulled within one point with 7:05 remaining but were unable to grab the lead.
• Attendance has been soaring at Mizzou Arena this season. The average home crowd is 3,850 and the last nine home games have featured at least 3,358 in attendance. A new Mizzou Arena attendance record for a women's basketball contest was established against No. 12 Tennessee on Jan. 4 with 7,989 fans.

#ZOUNOTES
• The Tigers rank 26th nationally in rebounding margin (+8.3), 28th in field goal percentage defense (35.6), 40th in free throw percentage (73.8), 42nd in scoring margin (+11.9) and field goal percentage (43.7) and 48th in 3-pointers per game (7.0).
• Forwards Jordan Frericks and Cierra Porter are shooting 54 and 51 percent from the field, respectively. Mizzou's starting five is shooting 49 percent from the floor and 37 percent from 3-point range.
• Freshman guard Sophie Cunningham leads the team in scoring (13.3) and is 11th in the SEC. She is the only freshman in the top 24 in the league in points. Cunningham has been named SEC Freshman of the Week four times, which is also tops among SEC freshmen.
• Mizzou is 3-3 all-time against Alabama. The Crimson Tide have won two straight in the series. The Tigers last won 88-64 on March 3, 2013. In the most recent meeting on Feb. 12, 2015, Sierra Michaelis recorded a double-double with 28 points and a career-high 13 rebounds. On Feb. 9, 2014, Kayla McDowell notched a double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds in 25 minutes of reserve action.

ABOUT ALABAMA...    
• The Crimson Tide are 14-10 overall and 3-8 during SEC play.
• Sophomore guard Hannah Cook (Ozark, Mo.) averages a team-leading 12.2 points per game. She was a member of the MoKan Eclipse AAU team along with Mizzou's Sophie Cunningham.
• Fellow sophomore guard Meoshonti Knight (Morgan City, La.) also scores in double figures with 10.5 points per game.
• A third sophomore guard, Karyla Middlebrook (Blue Springs, Mo.) averages a team-best 2.8 assists per contest.
