Mizzou
With a 3-for-4 day at the dish, Taylor Gadbois continued to climb up the Mizzou single-season hits leader list. The redshirt sophomore concluded her season with 85 hits, which ranks tied with Rhea Taylor (2010) for second all-time with the Tigers.
Gadbois' three-hit effort against the Huskers marked her team leading 26th multi-hit game of the season. It was also her seventh three-hit ballgame of the year (tops among Tiger hitters).
Senior Mackenzie Sykes drove in her team-leading 52nd RBI in the second inning with a sacrifice fly to left field. The RBI also tied Sykes for 10th place with Jenna Marston ('10) on the all-time single season RBI list.
Junior Angela Randazzo picked up her team-leading fourth and fifth RBI of the Columbia Regional on a two-run double in the third inning of game one. She tacked on a sixth RBI with a deep single in the fifth frame. It also marked Randazzo's team-leading 13th multi-RBI game of the season.
Randazzo finished game one with three hits, her second multi-hit game of the Regional and her 17th on the season.
Sophomore Emily Crane picked up two hits in game one, giving her multi-hit games in Mizzou's first three Columbia Regional games, and was her 16th multi-hit effort of 2014.
Kelsea Roth broke Nebraska starting pitcher Emily Lockman's scoreless start to game two with a solo home run to center field in the fifth inning. The blast was Roth's team high-tying eighth home run of the year.
Corrin Genovese recorded her 17th multi-hit game of the year in game two, after her 2-for-3 game at the plate.
Nebraska
Hailey Decker blasted four home runs on the day, with two in game one and two and game two. The homers were the 11th, 12th, 13th and 14th knocks of the season.
In the deciding two games of the Columbia Regional, Decker stepped up with a combined 5-for-8 performance at the plate against Mizzou with four home runs, four runs, and eight RBIs.
Taylor Edwards launched a solo shot in the fourth inning, her 18th home run of the season. The blast made her the all-time career home run leader at Nebraska with 54 career long balls, surpassing Ali Viola's mark of 53 ('95-'98).
The game one shot by Taylor Edwards also placed her tied for second on the all-time Nebraska individual season home run record list (tying her own mark of 18 blasts in 2011).
With a first inning two-run home run, Hailey Decker has recorded a hit in all four Nebraska contests at the Columbia Regional, extending her current hit streak to 12 games.
Austen Urness hit her third home run of the season, a three-run shot over the left field wall in the third inning.
Tatum Edwards earned her 24th victory of the season improving her record to 24-12. She pitched 7.0 innings giving up four runs (one earned) on 10 hits while striking out three.
Kiki Stokes launched a three-run home run to right in the fourth inning, extending the Huskers lead to 5-0. It was Stokes' fourth blast of the season and upped her RBI total to 24.
