Honolulu, Hawaii - Sophomore Jordan Frericks recorded her first double-double of the season in Missouri's 79-60 win over UNLV on Friday night. Frericks finished with a career-high 18 points and 12 rebounds for the Tigers. Sophomore Sierra Michaelis and Kayla McDowell also finished in double-figures with 14 and 11 points, respectively. Michaelis' 14 points also mark a career-best.
Frericks led the Tigers to a 24-point lead at halftime as she put up 12 first-half points and grabbed eight rebounds. Mizzou got off to a hot start as the Tigers used the first five minutes to get off on a 12-2 run. The Tigers didn't allow a UNLV bucket until the 16:50 mark on the clock.
The Tigers held the Lady Rebels to just nine percent shooting from distance in the half (1-of-11), and just 28-percent from the field, allowing just eight field goals in the half. The Tigers took a commanding 48-24 lead into the locker room at the halftime break. Mizzou never looked back as the Tigers led by almost 30 points early in the second half. Mizzou let the Lady Rebels come within 18 points with just under two minutes to play, but that's as close as UNLV was allowed to come.
The Tigers held The Lady Rebels to 21-of-66 shooting overall (32-percent), finishing the game with a 19 point lead.
