The Missouri women's golf team closed out its fall schedule by taking eighth place at the Las Vegas Showdown at Boulder Creek Golf Club outside of Las Vegas, Nev. The Tigers turned in a round of 307 on Wednesday for a final total of 893.
Senior Nicola Race and freshman Kate Gallagher finished in a tie for 23rd place with three-round totals of 221 to lead Missouri in the individual standings. Race carded Mizzou's best score of the day with a 74, while Gallagher shot a round of 78.
Junior Marissa Cook tied for 39th place with a 54-hole score of 225 after turning in a round of 75 on Wednesday. Freshman Ariana Savich placed in a tie for 49th spot with a 227 score and sophomore Ahnna Kim finished in 75th place at 234.
Arkansas ran away with the team title, finishing 23 shots ahead of second place with a final three-round total of 846. Kent State was second at 869.
Emily Tubert of Arkansas claimed medalist honors with an 11-under-par total of 205.
The Tigers will next be in action at the Central District Invitational on Feb. 21-22 in Parrish, Fla.
