
Tigers Move Into Top 10 at McNamara Invitational

The Missouri women's golf team matched its best round of the fall by turning in a 305 on Tuesday in the second round of the Dale McNamara Invitation in Owasso, Okla. The Tigers have climbed into 10th place heading into Wednesday's final round at The Patriot Golf Club.
Mizzou, which carded a 314 in the first round on Monday, have a two-round total of 619.
"We had a lot of good holes today," Head Coach Stephanie Priesmeyer said. "We just had a few big numbers and that's what we need to work on. But, I'm happy with the better scores and glad to see us make up some ground. We played with a lot more confidence and poise today."
Leading the Tigers is senior Nicola Race, who stands in a tie for 12th place with a 36-hole score of 149. Race shot a 73 on Tuesday, which include four birdies, three of those coming in a span of four holes.
Sophomore Ahnna Kim shot a 77 on Tuesday and is tied for 41st spot with a 155 total. Freshman Ariana Savich is tied for 47th place at 157 following a round of 78.
Junior Marissa Cook matched Kim's round of 77 and has a two-round total of 158, which puts her tied for 53rd spot, while freshman Kate Gallagher is tied for 78th place with a two-day total of 167.
Freshman Taylor Gohn, who is competing as an individual, is tied for 67th pace with a 163 total.
The final round will be played on Wednesday.
