COLUMBIA, Mo. - A large contingent of Tiger track athletes will be participating in one of the last meets before the Big 12 Outdoor Championships at the Arkansas Twilight in Fayetteville this weekend.
Over 50 Tigers will be participating in the one day meet being held tomorrow at John McDonnell Field, as many hope to solidify their chances of making a regional meet berth. More than a dozen teams will be represented in Arkansas this weekend, including Big 12 schools Oklahoma, Kansas and Iowa State, in-state schools Missouri State and Missouri Baptist among others.
Mizzou hopes to have some of the same success they had last weekend at the Drake Relays, with the team having two individual champions and many solid performance marks. Chris Rohr became the nation's leader in the hammer, throwing 235 feet, taking the Drake crown, while Krishna Lee took the women's hammer crown and had two fourth place finishes on the weekend. Rohr's toss also earned him Big 12 Outdoor honors for this week, his first outdoor award this year.
