Chris Rohr, who is one of the most decorated throwers in program history, will start his coaching tenure with the Tigers as a volunteer assistant during 2010 season. Rohr is a six-time All-American and capped off one of the most successful seasons in Mizzou history by claiming his final All-America honor with a fourth-place nod in the hammer throw at the 2009 NCAA Outdoor Championships.
Rohr was also named USTFCCCA Midwest Regional Athlete of the Year in 2009 during the indoor season, due in large part to his performance in the weight throw. Rohr led the nation in the event for weeks and went on to claim his first-ever individual Big 12 title and a third-place national finish at the NCAA Indoor Championships.
Rohr is currently the school record holder in both the hammer and the weight throw and also won the Big 12 Outdoor hammer throw last season with a meet and facility record.
Rohr graduated from Mizzou last season and is currently pursuing a post-baccalaureate Master's degree at Mizzou.
