ROHR NAMED REGIONAL ATHLETE OF THE YEAR

Columbia, Mo - Senior Chris Rohr was named Midwest Region Male Field Athlete of the Year today by the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association. The award recognizes the top male and female track and field athletes from the nine different regions of the United States, along with assistant and head coaches.

Rohr was a two-time Big 12 Indoor Male Track Athlete of the Week this year in the weight throw, after dominating performances in the Missouri Invitational and after the ISU Classic where Rohr had his nation-leading toss of 74 feet, 6.25 inches. He would go on to earn his first individual conference title at the Big 12 Indoor Championships in College Station.

Rohr will look to earn more accolades in the weight throw this weekend, competing in the NCAA Indoor Championships at Texas A&M University.
