Hey Tiger Fans!
It's hard to believe the fall semester and Christmas break are already over! It went by so fast! Everyone went home for Christmas this past week to enjoy some time at home and with their families. I know I, as well as everyone, enjoyed the break! However, the season is approaching fast, so we all came back on Saturday for practice on Sunday. We are all very excited for the season to start in two weeks and are anxious to get back into the gym and start fine-tuning our routines. On Sunday, we went through all four events and got our bodies accustomed to gymnastics again. It went very well considering we all had a week off of practice! On Monday, we had a beam intrasquad and put up seven girls. We had to hit six of the seven routines in a row, and we completed the assignment in one round! Intrasquads, or "practice meets," are useful because they add pressure and help us practice for real-meet situations. The rest of Monday's practice also went well. We had a bar intrasquad during Tuesday's practice, and put up ten girls. Although practice has been hard, we are all working very hard and are determined to make this season one to remember! Our first meet is in two weeks at Iowa State, and our second is at Arizona State. Our first home competition is our annual Pink Out meet on January 23 against Nebraska!!
Go Tigers!! :-]
