Hey Tiger Fans!!
This past week has been an exciting one for Mizzou gymnastics! Everyone is looking great in the gym and we are anxious for the season to start! We have been pushing each other in the gym, and all of our hard work is really starting to pay off. This week we had medium conditioning, low gymnastics, and med/high weights and cardio. Although the conditioning has been tough, we are pushing through it and getting great results. We are becoming stronger and faster and it is really showing in our gymnastics.
In the gym, everyone is starting to look more and more comfortable with their routines and we are beginning to make them much more consistently. The quality of work has really improved in the past week. We have been putting more emphasis on the details of our routines, making them sharper and more polished, as well as working on our form and handstands. We know that if we want to compete with the top schools, our basics will have to be perfect.
This week, we had two judges come in the gym and look at our routines on both bars and beam. It was great to get the opinion of a judge and get feedback on how we can improve our gymnastics. I think the judges were very helpful and everyone was able to take something useful away from it. If we continue to keep working hard, I know we will be a team to look out for!
I cannot wait for this season to start and I hope to see everyone at Black and Gold on Dec. 13! Thanks for all your support and GO TIGERS!!
Mary
