Dec. 3, 2006

Box Score: Missouri-Alabama A&M
Box Score: Creighton-Eastern Illinois

EeTisha Riddle scored 20 points on 9-of-11 shooting to lead Missouri to a 76-54 win over Alabama A&M and its 20th State Farm Tiger Classic championship Sunday at Mizzou Arena.

Riddle's performance Sunday matched her career-high 20-point outing on Saturday and garnered her unanimous MVP honors. The senior from O'Fallon, Ill., made all nine baskets on lay-ups, including her final seven attempts.

She became the first player to record consecutive 20-point games since Christelle N'Garsanet against Iowa State and Kansas in early February of last season.

While Riddle was doing her damage inside, sophomore Alyssa Hollins was deadly from the outside. She made 4-of-5 from beyond the arc and finished with 18 points. It was her fourth game in the last seven with at least 18 points. She was named to the all-tournament team for the second-straight week.

Missouri (7-1) shot an identical 44 percent in each half and made seven 3-pointers. The Tigers also controlled the glass with a 45-43 edge, but did most of its damage on the offensive end as they turned 14 offensive reounds into 18 second-chance points. AAMU had 19 offensive boards but managed just six points.

Holding a 13-12 lead with 10:24 to play in the first half, MU went on a 10-0 run over 2:55 to claim an 11-point advantage and never look back. The Bulldogs made it a nine-point game but a pair of lay-ups from Riddle put it back in double-figures for good. Mizzou scored the final six points of the period to take a 37-21 lead into the locker room.

MU led by as many as 34 late in the second half before taking home the 22-point victory.

AAMU (4-3) was led by Katrich Williams' 16 points and four three-point field goals. Christian Malone had 12 points, five rebounds and a game-high seven assists as she earned a spot on the all-tournament team.

Missouri will return to action on Wednesday, Dec. 6, when it plays host to Ohio at Mizzou Arena. Tip-off is set for 6:30 p.m.
