NCAA Accepts 12 Tigers into Track & Field Championship Field

COLUMBIA, Mo.--The NCAA Track & Field Committee released the list of accepted athletes into the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships on Tuesday. The meet, to be held in Sacramento, Calif., will include 12 Missouri Tigers, four of which are underclassmen.

WOMEN

800-meter Run: Ashley Patten (Sr.) Aq

1500-meter Run: Amanda Bales (Sr.) Aq

10,000-meter Run: Serena Ramsey (Sr.)

Shot Put: Elizabeth Robe (So.) AL

 

MEN

800-meter Run: Marcus Mayes (Jr.) Aq

Shot Put: Nate Englin (So.) Aq ... Bill Hobson (Jr.) Aq

Hammer Throw: Jason Morris (So.) Aq ... Bobby Musil (Jr.) Aq ... Chris Rohr (So.) AL

Decathlon: Hans Uldal (Sr.) ... Bjorn Sommerfeldt (Jr.)

 

Aq - Automatically qualified via top-five finish in regional championships

AL - At-large selection

 

Meet Live on TV

For the first time since 1982, portions of the NCAA Championships will be aired live on television.

 

On Friday, June 9, portions of the NCAA meet will be offered live via CSTV. On Saturday, June 10, CBS will air live coverage from 2:30 to 5 p.m., central.
