Houthalen, Belgium - Before a standing-room only crowd, the University of Missouri Women's Basketball team completed its four-game European excursion with a 105-30 victory over Houthalen BBC Thursday night. The Tigers, who had six players score in double figures, were led by Amy Loftus' 19 points. Evan Unrau had 18 points and 15 rebounds, to give her three double-doubles in the Tigers' four games abroad.
Unrau was joined by Wanette Smith (18 pts. & 11 rebs.) and Terianne Wolford (10 & 11) with double doubles. Tracy Franklin (14 pts.) and Kerensa Barr (10 pts.) also scored in double figures as Missouri had six players score 10 or more points for the second straight night.
Missouri opened a 51-14 halftime edge and stretch that advantage to 84-24 after three periods of play. The Tigers held Houthalen without a field goal for nine minutes and 55 seconds in the first half, as the Tigers outscored Houthalen 29-3 in that stretch to push the lead to 43-12.
Friday's game against Villeneuve D'Asque has been canceled, thus ending the Tigers' campaign at a perfect 4-0. The team will head to Paris, where they will sightsee until their return home next Tuesday.
