COLUMBIA, Mo. - Missouri women's basketball coach CINDY STEIN completed her coaching staff on Wednesday by hiring JESSICA JENKINS as Director of Basketball Operations. A former player of Stein's at Emporia State University, Jenkins worked for Stein as a student assistant for three seasons.
Jenkins replaces a void left by BRETT SCHNEIDER who left Missouri to become the Associate Head Coach at West Texas A&M University. STEPHANIE THURMAN, who has served as Director of Basketball Operations for Mizzou each of the last two seasons, has been promoted to Assistant Coach.
"Jessica is a tremendous young lady and someone that I am extremely excited to have join our staff," said Stein. "The work for me that she did at Emporia State was outstanding. Jessica is a tireless worker and a true professional."
Jenkins duties at Missouri will include organizing travel arrangements, coordinating and scheduling practices, acting as the staff liason with women's basketball support staff members and managing the women's basketball booster club, The Sixth Stripe. Jenkins will also serve as the assistant director of summer camps.
Current assistant coach DAVE WILBERS will continue his role while LEE ANN RILEY was hired in May as Missouri's Associate Head Coach.
