Jessica Jenkins, the Director of Basketball Operations, joined the Tigers in 2000 and remained with the program until 2003.
Her primary duties included organizing travel arrangements, coordinating and scheduling practices, and acting as the staff liaison with the external operations (ticket office, media relations, marketing and development area) personnel of the women's basketball team. Jenkins managed the Sixth Stripe Club, the official booster club of the women's basketball program. She also served as the assistant director of summer camps and directed the program's community service efforts.
She could also be heard as part of the Tiger radio broadcast team. Jenkins provided color commentary along with David Lile for Mizzou's games, which could be heard on KFRU-AM.
Jenkins served as both a player and student assistant under coach Cindy Stein at Emporia State University. From 1995-98, she was highlighted as a power forward for the Hornets and was a Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletic Association all-academic team pick from 1995-97. Following her sophomore season, Jenkins underwent surgery to correct compartment syndrome that consequently cut her playing short. Jenkins stayed on as a student assistant and helped the team to a second-place finish in the NCAA Division II Tournament in the 1997-98 season.
A native of Emporia, Kan., Jenkins graduated from Emporia State with a bachelor's degree in communication and business in 1999.
