Took home a third-place finish wrestling unattached in the Missouri Valley Open via fall over Saul Ervin out of SIU-E
Won seven out of his final eight matches, including four by falls and two by major decision

BEFORE MIZZOU

A four-time Missouri State Champion, the 28^th wrestler to become a four-time state champion in Missouri. Accomplished this feat on the same day as now teammate Jarrett Jacques.
Helped lead his high school, CBC in St. Louis, to their first Missouri State Championship.
A three-time Junior Greco-Roman National Champion at 60kg, Johnson has represented the U.S. at the Junior World Championships twice.
The Intermat high school rankings has Johnson at No. 4 at 126 pounds and No. 43 overall.
