- Runner-up at the Soldier Salute (Dec. 29), losing in the final with a last-second takedown by No. 14 Kysen Terukina (Iowa State)
- His near defeat of Terukina was enough to be ranked No. 33 at 125 pounds by FloWrestling (Dec. 30)
- Wrestled unattached at the Cyclone Open (Jan. 19), going 3-1 and securing fifth place
