REDSHIRT FRESHMAN (2017-18)

• Went 6-5 in first season as an attached wrestler, marking two dual starts and placing in one open tournament at heavyweight.
• Placed third at heavyweight at the Roger Denker Open (Jan. 21), posting a record of 3-1 with a win by fall over Ouachita Baptist’s Tanner Hawkins at 0:55.
• Won an individual match over Michigan State’s Matt Lloyd, 8-2, at the South Beach Duals (Dec. 30).
• Made his dual debut against No. 24-ranked Jeramy Sweany in Mizzou’s dual against Cornell (Dec. 30), falling 10-2.
• Went 2-2 at heavyweight at the Lindenwood Open (Nov. 18), including a 14-4 major decision over Oklahoma’s Eli Boulton in his first official collegiate match.

FRESHMAN (2016-17)

• In redshirt season, recorded a mark of 12-9 while placing in two open tournaments.
• Finished fifth at heavyweight at the Roger Denker Open (Jan. 22) after a 5-2 performance which included two wins by fall and one by major decision
• Placed third in the heavyweight amateur division at the Maryville Brand Kaufman Open (Nov. 12) following a 5-1 showing which included three wins by fall

• Posted a 124-7 high school record while winning state championships as a junior and senior.
• Named 2016 Monroe County Wrestler and Athlete of the Year by Key West Citizen.
• Three-time USA Wrestling Greco Roman All-American.
• 2015 Fargo Greco Roman National Champion.
• Three-time Disney Duals All-American.
• Named to All-Monroe County Team as a defensive tackle in football.

• Son of Joseph and Debra Jiovenetta
• Father, Joe, was a college wrestler at Simpson College (Iowa)
• Brothers, Vinny and Giovanni, were NWCA All-Americans at Central Florida
• In spare time, loves to dive and spearfish in Florida Keys
