Dawei Shen enters his second season as a volunteer assistant coach with the Mizzou volleyball program. Dawei brings a wealth of volleyball experience after playing in the Chinese National Team in both 1997 and 1999, being voted the best middle blocker in China in 1997. He won five National Championships in a row as a player.

As a coach, Dawei brings 11 years of experience to Mizzou. He has won three club National Championships, one coming under the leadership of Lang Ping, the former head coach for the US Women's National Team.
