In her second season as a graduate assistant coach, former Tiger Great, RaeShara Brown, is a valuable asset to head coach Robin Pingeton's staff. In her current role, Brown assists with team practices, scrimmages, social media outreach, team camps and various other team-related activities and day-to-day operations.
Brown was a mainstay in the backcourt for the Tigers from 2007-2011. Her leadership, hard-nosed style of play and her determination make her a great addition to Pingeton's coaching staff. Brown's playing experience and knowledge will also add a dynamic element to the Tiger family as they strive for excellence in the SEC.
During her playing years, Brown appeared in every game she was eligible for while wearing a Mizzou uniform. She started almost every game for the Tigers in her sophomore, junior and senior campaigns, including all 31 games in both her junior and senior years. She was named All-Big 12 honorable mention after the 2010 season and she earned All-Big 12 second team honors after her senior year. She averaged 16.8 points per game, 5.9 rebounds per game and more than four assists per game during the 2010-11 season. Brown grabbed at least four steals nine times and scored in double figures 14 times. Brown ended her 2010-11 campaign with 88 steals, good for third best all-time, and she stands atop the Mizzou all-time steals list with 273 career steals.
A native of Little Rock, Ark., Brown received a degree in nutritional sciences from the University of Missouri in 2011 and is currently pursuing her Master's Degree.
