Kate Frerking is in her fourth season on the Mizzou Women’s Basketball staff, and the second as the Coordinator of Recruiting Operations. She joined the staff in August 2018 as a Graduate Student Manager.
In her recruiting role, Frerking assists the Mizzou coaching staff in its entire operation to maintain successful recruiting efforts. Frerking handles the scheduling efforts for the staff on the road, as well as coordinating the official and unofficial visits of prospective recruits who visit Columbia.
Prior to joining the Mizzou coaching staff, Frerking played collegiately at Auburn (2013-17) and professionally overseas in Sweden (2017-18). She played professionally for Lulea Basket in Sweden during the 2017-18 season, where she averaged 11.2 points, 8.2 rebounds and 3.3 assists per game while shooting 47.1 percent from the three-point line in 10 games.
She finished up a highly successful collegiate career at Auburn during the 2016-17 season, where she led the team in scoring (15.7 ppg), rebounding (6.3 rpg), assists (3.0 apg) and steals (2.6 apg) while earning All-SEC second team honors. Frerking closed her collegiate career as one of two players in Auburn history with 1,000 points, 500 rebounds, 250 assists and 200 steals. Her career numbers of 1,271 points, 235 steals and 146 three-point field goals rank 20th, sixth and eighth, respectively in Auburn history. Frerking enjoyed great success in the classroom as well at Auburn, as she made the honor roll all four seasons (2014-17), was named 2017 SEC Scholar-Athlete of the Year and made the CoSIDA Academic All-District team twice (2016-17).
A native of Johns Creek, Ga., Frerking earned her bachelor’s degree in Marketing in 2017 from Auburn University.
