Indoor Track – Opened the indoor season by placing first in the 600m run at the Missouri Holiday Opener (Jan. 8), crossing the finish line at 1:19.82 … Ran a season-best time in the 800m run at the Vanderbilt Invitational (Jan. 20), finishing fourth at 1:49.84 … Placed sixth in the 800m run at the Music City Challenge (Feb. 10), crossing the finish line at 1:51.48 … Just narrowly missed out advancing to the finals of the SEC Indoor Championships (Feb. 24) in the 800m run, finishing 10th in the prelims at 1:51.38 … Ran the third leg of Mizzou’s DMR team which finished seventh at the SEC Indoor Championships (Feb. 25) at 9:53.73.
Outdoor Track – Began the outdoor season by finishing first in the 800m run at the Arkansas Spring Invitational (March 24), crossing the finish line at 1:50.00 … Finished second in the 800m run at the Ole Miss Classic (March 31), checking in at 1:50.63 … Swept the 800m run and 1500m run at the Tom Botts Invitational (April 20-21), posting times of 1:51.46 and 3:54.49, respectively … Ran the third leg of Mizzou’s 4x800m relay team that finished third at the Drake Relays (April 27) with a time of 7:31.30 … Set a personal-best time in the 800m run with a fifth-place finish at the SEC Outdoor Championships (May 13), clocking a time of 1:48.68 … Ended the season by placing 37th in the 800m run at the NCAA West Preliminary (May 24), crossing the finish line at 1:52.77.

Chris was a state champion and four-time conference champion at O’Fallon Township High School in O’Fallon, Ill. … Ran under coaches Jon Burnett and Ron Koch on the track team, as well as Burnett and Alan Elfrink on the cross country team … CROSS COUNTRY … Helped led the Panters to a conference championship as a senior in 2016, finishing fifth at the conference meet with a time of 15:51.31 in the three-mile race … Placed 49th at the IHSA Cross Country State Championship as a senior, clocking a time of 15:02.00 … TRACK & FIELD … Won conference titles in the 800m run and 1600m run as a junior, clocking times of 1:55.61 and 4:28.63, respectively … Finished runner-up in the 800m run at the IHSA Boys State Track & Field Championship as a junior, clocking a time of 1:53.02 … Repeated as conference champion in the 800m run and 1600m run as a senior in 2017, posting time of 1:56.35 and 4:27.09, respectively … Captured a state title in the 800m to close prep career, setting a personal record with a time of 1:49.91 to claim the title.
