2027 Mizzou Track & Field Home Meets

The University of Missouri will host four indoor track and field meets inside Hearnes Center Fieldhouse during the 2026 indoor season, an additional high school elite meet, and, for the first time since 2021, an outdoor meet at Audrey J. Walton Track and Field Stadium. 

The Audrey J. Walton Track & Field/Soccer Stadium has been completely updated with all new ammenities, including new surfacing, throws area, student-athlete amenities, among other additions, thanks to a signficant philanthropic gift from the namesake in January 2025. The Hearnes Center Fieldhouse, which was rennovated in fall 2024, features a 200m, 21m Radius, 12 Degree Banked Mondo Track.

The Tigers will open their campaign by hosting home competitions over four consecutive weeks - January 9, (Alexis Jarrett Invitational), January 16 (Show Me Showdown), January 23 (Bob Teel Invitational) and January 29-30 (Dr. Rick McGuire Invitational. The program will also host the third annual Mizzou High School Distance Elite meet, with details to be announced on a later date. 

Mizzou hosts its first outdoor meet in over six years on May 1, 2027, with the inaurgial Tom Botts meet. 

Entries for all indoor meets will open on January 1. The entry deadline for home meets are at noon CT on the following dates: January 4 for the Alexis Jarrett Invitational, January 1 for the Show-Me Showdown, January 18 for the Bob Teel Invitational and January 25 for the Dr. Rick McGuire Invitational.

Entries for the Tom Botts Invitational will open on April 1 with a deadline of April 26 at noon CT.

Packets may be picked up day of meet and distributed to the first coach who arrives at the packet pick-up area. The packet pick up area is located at the clerking table in the northeast corner of the building. The packet will contain credentials for the entire team. Athletes and Staff will not be permitted entry to Hearnes Center without appropriate access credential. Please make arrangements to meet your team at a designated location outside the Hearnes Center to distribute credentials if you are planning to arrive at alternative times.

2026 Home Meets Recap
Missouri track and field hosted four meets at Hearnes Center Fieldhouse to open the 2026 indoor season, winning six events at three of the four and adding a facility record, a run at the program pentathlon record and more than a dozen entries on Mizzou's all-time indoor lists.

The Tigers opened with the second annual Alexis Jarrett Invitational on Jan. 10, winning six events while competing a limited number of student-athletes. Senior Robert Hines took both the 60m (6.87) and 200m (21.82), senior Anna Vedral repeated as pole vault champion at 3.90m and senior Petra Gombas defended her weight throw title at 19.91m as the Tiger women swept the top five spots in the event. Junior Garik Pozecki threw a personal-best 21.62m in the men's weight throw — No. 6 in program history — and finished second by a single centimeter. Junior Chase Crawford won the shot put at a then-personal-best 17.62m, sophomore Marlena Tresnjo won the high jump at 1.76m, and Houston transfer Dillon Leacock was second in the 60m hurdles (8.29) in his Mizzou debut, his first time contesting the event.

At the Show-Me Showdown on Jan. 16, Wichita State transfer Brianna Utecht won the long jump on her first attempt as a Tiger at a personal-best 5.94m, No. 10 in program history, and took second in the 60m hurdles in 8.71. The women swept the top five in the weight throw for the second straight week, led by sophomore Reagan Kimrey, who became the fifth woman in program history to throw 20 meters; her 20.09m ranks No. 5 all-time, with Gombas next at a No. 6 all-time 19.47m. Tresnjo won the high jump again at a personal-best 1.80m (No. 7 all-time), Vedral won the pole vault at 3.83m (No. 8 all-time) as Missouri took four of the top five places, and Leacock won the 600m in 1:19.66 and lowered his 60m hurdles best to 8.14, No. 5 all-time. Senior Sam Innes, the school-record holder, won the weight throw at 22.20m. The Tigers again had six event winners.

The two-day Dr. Rick McGuire Invitational followed on Jan. 30–31. Utecht won the pentathlon with 4,017 points, at the time the second-highest total in program history behind Teri LeBlanc's 4,122 from 1989, winning the 60m hurdles (a PR 8.67) and long jump (5.84m) along the way; freshman Sofia Wydra was third at a personal-best 3,693. Innes and Pozecki went one-two in the weight throw, with Innes at a season-best 22.67m, and the distance medley relay of River Hardman, Leacock, Andrew Simard and Ethan Hogan won in 9:45.05. On day two, freshman Monica Wanjiku, a cross country All-American in the fall, set a Hearnes Fieldhouse record of 9:13.70 in the 3000m in her first race on the track, with junior Suzy Lecoutre second in a personal-best 9:18.10 — at the time the No. 4 and No. 6 marks in program history. Junior Drew Rogers won the mile in a personal-best 4:00.33, the third-fastest time in Mizzou history, and sophomore Carter Spradling ran a personal-best 8:00.27 in the men's 3000m, where seven Tigers set PRs. Newcomers Charlotte Cullen and Morgan Yeomans went one-two in the 800m in 2:08.90 and 2:08.97, both personal bests.

Missouri closed the home schedule at the Missouri Invitational on Feb. 6 with six wins. Innes won the weight throw for the third time in as many meets at 22.68m, with Pozecki second at 20.75m. Crawford won the shot put at a personal-best 17.74m ahead of teammate Sam Albert, and Kimrey took her second weight throw title at 19.92m. Utecht won the 60m hurdles in 8.73, Hines won the 60m in 6.82 and senior Yordanos Zelinski won the men's mile in 4:10.26, with Andrew Hauser and Joshua Allison third and fourth. Leacock was second in both the 400m — a then-personal-best 47.79, 10th in program history at the time — and the 60m hurdles, where his 8.11 missed the win by one-hundredth of a second.

Across the four meets, Missouri came away with a facility record from Wanjiku, the pentathlon runs from Utecht and Wydra, and new all-time top-10 marks in the men's mile (Rogers), men's and women's 3000m (Spradling; Wanjiku, Lecoutre), men's and women's weight throw (Pozecki; Kimrey, Gombas), women's high jump (Tresnjo), women's pole vault (Vedral), women's long jump and 60m hurdles (Utecht), and men's 60m hurdles and 400m (Leacock), along with dozens of personal bests across the roster.
