Jake threw at Warrensburg High School under the direction of Lindsay Markworth … Was a two-time All-Conference, one-time All-District and one-time All-State selection in football … TRACK & FIELD … Led Warrensburg to a conference title as a junior in 2016, winning the shot put and discus conference titles … Posted back-to-back 10th-place finishes in the shot put in 2015 and 2016, and a ninth-place finish in the discus at the Missouri State Track & Field Championships … Won his fifth and sixth conference titles as a senior in 2017, winning the shot put and discus titles … At the 2017 Missouri State Track & Field Championships, finished runner-up in the discus with a mark of 170-7 and fourth in the shot put with a throw of 55-6.75, both personal records.
