Cross Country – Ran in five races for the Tigers...Her best time came at the Commodore Classic (Sept. 16) where she ran a 19:09.7 in the 5000m while placing eighth on the team and 86^th overall … Her best finish of the season was at the Bradley Classic (Oct. 13) where she finished third on the team and 102^nd overall with a time of 22:43.7 in the 6000m.

Indoor Track – Her best finish in the mile run came at the Arkansas Invitational (Jan. 12) where she finished 10^th overall with a time of 5:04.46 … Her best time in the 800m run came at the Music City Challenge (Feb. 10) with a time of 2:19.24 placing 39^th overall … Set a new personal record in the 3000m run at the SEC Indoor Championships (Feb. 24) with a time of 9:44.64 while placing 10^th overall.

Outdoor Track – Her best finish in the 3000m steeplechase came at the SFSU Distance Carnival (March 30) placing 37^th overall with a time of 11:29.69 … Set a new personal record in the 800m run at the Tom Botts Invitational (April 21) with a time of 2:16.62 while placing fifth overall…Set a new personal record in the 1500m run at the Tom Botts Invitational (April 21) with a time of 4:35.59 while placing fourth overall…Her best finish in the 5000m run came at the Drake Relays (April 26) placing 17^th overall with a time of 17:51.35.

HIGH SCHOOL … Melissa ran for Rockwood Summit High School in Fenton, Mo., under coaches Jason Miller and Chris Moore … Notched five track and field and two cross country top-10 finishes in state championships, including back to back finishes in the 3200m run in 2015 and 2016 … Won the 800m state title at the 2016 Missouri State Track & Field Championships … COLLEGE… Began her college career at New Hampshire where she was all-conference and helped her team to a conference championship in the American East Conference … Placed seventh in the NEICAAA XC Championship in the 5k.
